KUCHING: A fireman decided to call the police to arrest his 15-year-old son and recommended that he be sent to a boys’ home.
According to the father, it was a painful decision but the boy’s behaviour was ‘out of control’ and he wanted to change the boy for the better.
Around 10pm on Tuesday night, the boy was spotted breaking into a neighbour’s home by another neighbour in Matang Palm Indah and the latter had related the incident to the boy’s parents.
The owner of the house which was broken into was a soldier who was away at the time.
The boy was alleged to have taken down the window panes and carted away a hand phone charger, a pair of sunglasses and a number of other items.
According to the mother, a nurse at the hospital, they have tried their best to raise the boy, the only son in the family. However, she suffered a shock recently when the son tried to attack her with a machete.
The father had also advised the neighbour whose house was broken into to make a police report.
