LAWAS: Thousands of people in Lawas District continue to visit Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan’s sick mother at Kampung Dato, Kuala Lawas here.
Among state and local dignitaries who visited her yesterday were Lawas Member of Parliament Dato Henry Sum Agong, Muara Tuang State Assemblyman Dato Sri Mohammad Ali Mahmud, Nangka State Assemblyman Datuk Awang Bemee Ali Basah, Bukit Kota State Assemblyman Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, State development Officer Datuk Kamal, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Colonel (Rtd) Awangku Jamaddin Pengiran Haji Kon and PBB Executive Secretary Awang Bujang Awang Antek.
According to Tengah, Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management and Public Utilities, his mother Raesah Damit, 75, who is suffering from pancreratic cancer for the last two years, had been treated in Singapore and Normah Specialist Hospital before being brought back to her village at her request.
Besides political leaders, other people who visited her included Lawas District Officer Haji Mohd Supaih Hamdan, Limbang Divisional Lands and Survey Superintendent Awang Zamhari and Lawas Land Transport Officer Julaihi.
Tengah’s mother arrived here last Saturday and since then, Doa Selamat prayers had been recited at her residence at Kampung Dato’. Tengah expressed his gratitude to all people in the district for their prayers for the well-being of his beloved mother.
